Reign FC's Australians Advance in World Cup Round of 16

Australia guaranteed itself a spot in the knockout rounds of the Women’s World Cup with a 4-1 win over Jamaica Tuesday. Reign FC’s Lydia Williams and Steph Catley both played 90 minutes for the Matildas, while Elise Kellond-Knight remained on the bench.

Australia’s Sam Kerr scored four goals in the contest, including a crucial tap-in after Jamaican keeper Nicole McClure missed a clearance in the 83rd minute that helped Australia finish second in the group over Brazil by virtue of goals scored.

The Matildas will face Norway in the Round of 16 on Saturday, June 22 at 9:00 a.m. PT.
