Quinn Named to Canadian National Team for October Friendlies

OL Reign midfielder Quinn has been named to Canadian National Team roster for the October FIFA international window. The 2020 Olympic gold medalists will play two games as they kick off their Canadian Women’s National Team Celebration Tour.

Quinn has made 69 appearances for Canada, scoring five goals while adding four assists. Most recently, they played 334 minutes across six matches for Canada during the Olympic Games this summer, helping the team to earn its first ever gold medal.

Quinn and the No. 6 Canadian WNT will be competing in a two-game friendly series against No. 23 New Zealand. The first game is set to take place on Saturday, October 23 at TD Place in Ottawa at 12:00 p.m. PT and the second game is set to take place on Tuesday, October 26 at Stade Saputo in Montréal. The last time New Zealand and Canada faced off was October 2019 in the third-place match in the Yongchuan International Tournament, where Canada defeated New Zealand 3-0.
