Quinn and Jimena López Named to National Teams for November Matches

OL Reign midfielder Quinn has been named to the Canadian National Team roster for the November FIFA international window, where they will face off with OL Reign defender Jimena López, who has been called up to the Mexican National Team. The two sides will play a pair of friendly matches.

The No. 6 ranked Canadian WNT will be competing against the No. 28 ranked Mexican WNT in two friendly matches. Both matches are set to take place in Mexico, with times and locations to be announced at a later date. The first game is set to take place on Saturday, November 27 and the second will be played on Tuesday, November 30. In recent years, the two sides have faced each other four times since the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015. Canada has won each of the four matches including the most recent meeting at the 2020 Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Quinn has made 71 appearances for Canada. The midfielder has scored five goals and four assists for Canada since making their debut for the senior national team in March 2014. Most recently, they played for Canada in October, when the team beat New Zealand 5-1 and 1-0.

López made her Mexico Women’s National Team debut on February 27, 2019, in a friendly against Italy. Since her debut, López has scored two goals in 26 appearances, including 24 starts. She played with Mexico during the October FIFA window, where she started and played all 90 minutes in Mexico’s 6-1 win over Argentina.
