OL Reign Signs Veronica Latsko Through 2023 Season

OL Reign has signed forward Veronica Latsko to a two-year deal, with a one-year option, the club announced today. Per league and club policy, the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Veronica brings valuable NWSL experience to our roster,” said head coach Laura Harvey. “She has proven that she can make an impact in this league and we are excited for what she has to offer.”

OL Reign acquired the rights to Latsko from the Houston Dash on January 13, 2022. The aggressive and fast forward was selected 38th overall in the 2018 NWSL College Draft and played with the Dash from 2018 to 2021. During the 2021 season, the 26-year-old played 1,275 minutes for Houston across 22 games and scored three goals while adding two assists.

Latsko has also spent time on loan in Australia, playing alongside now OL Reign teammates Amber Brooks and Sofia Huerta with Adelaide United and Sydney FC during the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons in the W-League. During her time with Adelaide United, Latsko finished tied for second in the Golden Boot race with nine goals.

“I'm so excited to be a part of such a talented group,” said Latsko. “I'm really looking forward to learning from both the players and staff, and I've heard wonderful things about the team, both on and off the pitch. I can't wait to get started!”
