By the Numbers: Reign FC Earns Gritty Road Win Over North Carolina
In its first road match of the 2025 season, Seattle Reign FC won 2-1 over the Courage, thanks to goals from midfielder Jess Fishlock and defender Jordyn Bugg.

1 – Defender Emily Mason, who signed with the team in January out of Rutgers University, made her professional debut in the match. The 22-year-old was named to the Starting XI and finished with four duels won, four clearances and three interceptions.
2 – Maddie Mercado earned her first start in regular-season play and connected with Jess Fishlock to assist the opening goal. The 23-year-old now has two assists in her NWSL career across all competitions.
4 – Goalkeeper Claudia Dickey played a critical role in Seattle’s win. She made four saves to preserve the Reign’s lead on the road and led the team in passes, connecting 44 times.
5 – Matching her performance against Gotham FC, defender Madison Curry made a team-high five interceptions. In her 90-minute shift, she also won three tackles and two fouls and made four clearances as part of the backline that limited the Courage to one goal.
8 – In just her eighth NWSL appearance, Jordyn Bugg scored from nearly 35 yards out to give Reign FC a 2-0 lead in the 56th minute. The 18-year-old defender’s goal marks the first of her NWSL career.
200 – Jess Fishlock made her 200th regular-season appearance and scored the opening goal of the night in the 35th minute. The Welsh international now has 43 goals all-time, which ranks second in club history and ties Carli Lloyd for 12th in league history.
