Celebrate Juneteenth with OL Reign

OL Reign has announced that it will celebrate Juneteenth this Saturday, June 18 when they host Angel City FC at Lumen Field at 7:00 p.m. PT. Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating African American freedom.

Join OL Reign, Sounders FC, and Intentionalist in supporting local Black-owned small businesses! Prior to OL Reign match, head to Occidental Avenue South, outside WAMU Theater, for an afternoon of food, beverages, live music, and games, all starting after Sounders FC’s match at 2:30pm. 

This exciting event will include Black-owned food trucks, a beer garden, live music from DJ Vega, Sounders FC games like skee ball and cornhole, and a photo opportunity with the CONCACAF Champions League (CCL) trophy.

To continue the celebration, at OL Reign’s match, the African American Cultural Ensemble from the Northwest African American Museum (NAAM) will perform the Black National Anthem – Lift Every Voice and Sing – and the Star-Spangled Banner in addition to performing at halftime.
