OL Reign Pays it Forward With Trophy Cupcakes

OL Reign has partnered with Seattle-based bakery Trophy Cupcakes as part of the bakery’s Pay it Forward campaign, the club announced today. The Pay It Forward campaign was developed by Trophy Cupcakes to show support for essential workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fans have the chance to purchase OL Reign-themed cupcakes to donate them to first responders and nonprofits serving at-risk communities in the Seattle and Tacoma area. For every dozen ordered, Trophy Cupcakes will match a dozen to donate to additional frontline and nonprofit workers, doubling the impact of the campaign.

Fans can choose to send cupcakes to workers at a variety of non-profit organizations that work closely with OL Reign, including FareStart, MultiCare, UW Medicine, and Tacoma’s Fire and Police Departments.

“The partnership with Trophy Cupcakes is an opportunity for our club and our supporters to thank those on the front lines that are helping us all navigate through the COVID-19 crisis,” said OL Reign CEO Bill Predmore. ”In addition to the doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers who have been so selfless in their efforts, we also wanted to recognize those in less visible roles—such as those working in restaurants—who are also making significant sacrifices on behalf of our community.”

“As soon as COVID-19 struck, it was immediately clear to me that I had to do something to support those communities hit hardest while also working to keep our business alive and well,” said Trophy Cupcake owner and co-founder Jennifer Shea. “This is when our Pay it Forward campaign came to life. I have long wanted to find a way to focus on giving back to the community that’s embraced Trophy and helped us to become a staple with so many celebrations over the last 13 years.  Pay it Forward has shown me that our fans and customers want to find a way to give back and we’re happy to be doing this together.”

In addition to purchasing cupcakes through the Pay it Forward program, fans can purchase and send OL Reign-themed cupcakes to their friends and family in the Seattle area, where Trophy delivers.

Since launching the Pay it Forward program in March, Trophy Cupcakes has sent over 20,000 cupcakes to workers on the front lines around the Puget Sound.
