2020 Regular Season Schedule Announced
The National Women’s Soccer League unveiled the full 24-game schedule for the league’s nine teams today. Reign FC will begin its 2020 campaign on the road at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. against the Washington Spirit on Saturday, April 18.
Following a second road game against Sky Blue FC on Sunday, April 26, the club will return home to Cheney Stadium to face Julie Ertz, Alyssa Naeher, Casey Short, and the Chicago Red Stars on Sunday, May 3.
Reign FC will play a total of 12 home matches and 12 away games over the seven-month regular season. The club will face each of the other eight teams in the league three times during the regular season, including two home games against defending champions North Carolina Courage.
The league will take a one-week break from during the first week of the 2020 Olympic Games, which will take place from July 22 – August 7 at various sites in Japan.
Reign FC will close out the season playing three of its final four matches at Cheney Stadium, including its regular season finale against the Washington Spirit on Sunday, October 18. The match will give the club another chance to celebrate its supporters on Fan Appreciation Night.
