OL Reign Re-Signs Midfielder Rosie White for 2021 Season
OL Reign has re-signed New Zealand international Rosie White to a one-year deal, the club announced today. Per league and club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"I am very happy that Rosie will return next season,” said OL Reign head coach Farid Benstiti. “Rosie was an important player for us in both the Challenge Cup and Fall Series. She gives us something a bit different and finds a way to impact the game. She works very hard, will continue to grow, and I think will help us a lot next season.”
White joined OL Reign in 2019 following the conclusion of the FIFA Women’s World Cup. She recorded two goals and one assist down the home stretch of that campaign, helping the club make the postseason for a second consecutive year.
White made six appearances for OL Reign between the NWSL Challenge Cup and the NWSL Fall Series in 2020. The midfielder scored the equalizing goal to help the club take a point on the road from its Fall Series match with Utah on September 26.
“I am really excited to stay with the club next year,” White said. “It has become a home away from home for me. I love the team and am genuinely excited by the staff. I truly feel like I have a chance to grow and take my game to the next level here.”
