Teresa and Bill Predmore Stepping Down from Operating Roles with OL Reign – Vincent Berthillot Appointed New CEO

OL Reign today announced that club founders Teresa and Bill Predmore will step down from their operating roles with the club prior to start of the NWSL Challenge Cup. Bill and Teresa will remain minority owners in OL Reign.

Vincent Berthillot, who has worked for OL Groupe since 2013 and has served as the club’s Chief Operating Officer since OL’s acquisition of the club in 2020, has been appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer of OL Reign.

“We thank Bill and Teresa for their vision and commitment to growing professional women’s soccer in the United States and around the world. When acquiring the Reign, we recognized that their experience and expertise would help us achieve our objectives for our project in the NWSL,” said OL Groupe President Jean-Michel Aulas.

Since the acquisition of Reign FC by OL Groupe in January of 2020, Teresa Predmore has served as President of OL Reign Academy, while Bill Predmore has served as Chief Executive Officer of OL Reign.

“Our decision to depart at this time marks the conclusion of a planned, two-year process to transition club operations to OL,” said OL Reign CEO Bill Predmore. “Nevertheless, our decision to leave the club that we love so much was extremely difficult to make. We leave the club and the league with pride in what we helped create and with great optimism for its future.”

Predmore continued, “Over the last two years we have seen first-hand how committed OL is to the growth of the women’s game and to the future of OL Reign. We have witnessed the approach they take as one of the best club operators on the planet. Teresa and I will depart knowing the club is in capable hands.”

Teresa and Bill founded Seattle Reign FC in November 2012 and were among the original participants in the formation of the National Women’s Soccer League. In 2016, Teresa and Bill founded Reign Academy, a female-centered soccer club that now serves nearly three hundred youth players across the region.

“We appreciate their dedication to the club and their efforts to facilitate a seamless transition to our full leadership. During these two years, Bill and Teresa have been investing their time and energy alongside with us working for the long-term success of OL Reign and the NWSL,” added Sophie Sauvage, who has been representing OL Reign at the NWSL Board of Governors since the acquisition.

“As founding owners in our league, Bill and Teresa are part of a visionary group of leaders who strategically and thoughtfully navigated the last decade of play in the NWSL. They have dedicated countless hours and invested significant resources to growing the game and making our league what it is today,” said NWSL Interim CEO Marla Messing. “I can’t thank them enough for their friendship and partnership and look forward to catching a match with OL Reign’s biggest fans someday soon at Lumen Field.”

“Teresa and I are honored to have served as stewards and supporters of the Reign for the last nine years,” said Bill Predmore. “We are grateful for the opportunity to have worked with Laura [Harvey] and with all those whose efforts helped bring the club success on the pitch over the last nine seasons. We are deeply appreciative of the many individuals who worked behind the scenes on behalf of the club, and we are thankful for all the club’s supporters for their passion and commitment to the team.”

“Bill and I would also like to express our gratitude to the OL Reign Academy staff and coaches, who have worked so hard to create a truly unique experience for young female soccer players in the Pacific Northwest,” said OL Reign Academy President Teresa Predmore. “And of course, we both want to thank all the incredible athletes—and especially Lu [Barnes], Jess [Fishlock], and Pinoe, who have been with the club since day one—for their many sacrifices and efforts on the field, and for their dedication and leadership off the field to help us build something truly special in Seattle.”

Teresa continued, “Bill and I will continue our work as advocates for the game, the club, the league, and for all its players.”

“I have appreciated the chance to work with and learn from Bill over the past two years. I thank him for his support, as his knowledge of team and league operations was incredibly helpful in preparing me for my new role with the club,” said OL Reign Chief Operating Officer Vincent Berthillot. “I am now fully prepared to take on this challenge and look forward to this exciting NWSL 10th season back in Seattle, where the club’s history started.”
