Starting XI: Seattle Reign FC at North Carolina Courage

Seattle Reign FC Head Coach Laura Harvey fields a new lineup as the Reign take on the North Carolina Courage at 4:00 p.m. PT at First Horizon Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina. Fan can tune in to the match on NWSL+.

The two sides have met a total of 18 times since North Carolina joined the league in 2017. Since 2022, Reign FC has gone 3-2-1 against the Courage, most recently winning 1-0 at Lumen Field in August 2024. Forward Emeri Adames, who scored the game-tying goal against Gotham FC last weekend, forced the game-winning goal deep into stoppage time to seal the storybook ending for the Reign.

Lineup Notes:

  • Nine players featured in the Starting XI also started in the Reign’s match last weekend against Gotham FC.

  • Defender Emily Mason slots into the backline for defender Shae Holmes, who is unavailable for this match. This start marks Mason’s professional debut.

  • Midfielder Maddie Mercado, who subbed into the Reign’s home opener in the 69th minute of the match, earns her first NWSL regular season

  • Midfielder Jess Fishlock, who once again wears the captain’s armband for the match, is set to make her 200th NWSL regular season appearance. She will become the fourth NWSL player to reach this milestone.

  • Two of Seattle’s former UNC players, goalkeeper Claudia Dickey and forward Maddie Dahlien, appear in the starting lineup. The Reign’s third UNC alum, Sam Meza, is available off the bench.
