Seattle Reign FC Midfielder Ji So-Yun Nominated for Second Consecutive NWSL Goal of the Week

Seattle Reign FC midfielder Ji So-Yun has been nominated for NWSL Goal of the Week for the second week in a row. After winning the award last week, Ji scored another stunning goal in the Reign’s 3-2 win over Angel City FC. Once again scoring Seattle’s second goal of the match, the midfielder’s hit gave the Reign the lead in the road match.

Nominated alongside Washington’s Trinity Rodman, Kansas City’s Temwa Chawinga, and Orlando’s Marta, Ji’s goal was scored in the sixth minute of first half stoppage time, giving the Reign an edge just before the break. After receiving the ball at her feet inside Angel City’s 18-yard box, Ji’s footwork was on full display as she danced around the defense before slicing a shot into the right side of the goal.

This is Ji’s third goal of the season and third goal nominated for NWSL Goal of the Week.
