Seattle Reign FC Honored at Human Rights Campaign Seattle Dinner

Last month, Seattle Reign FC received the Human Rights Campaign Impact Award at the 2024 HRC Seattle Dinner. An opportunity for celebration and education, the dinner brought together the community to reflect on stewardship of the last year and look forward to the upcoming work to be completed.

As an organization that has championed LGBTQ+ rights for over four decades, HRC empowers and mobilizes people at a grassroots level. The organization aims to create impactful change in Seattle and beyond and is dedicated to creating a more affirming, inclusive and equitable community. Reign FC was selected as this year’s award winner for the club’s unwavering commitment to the LGBTQ+ community each and every day.

Fierce advocates on and off the field, a group of Reign staff attended the dinner in Seattle, connecting with the community on a night of shared appreciation and commitment. Accepting the award on behalf of the club was Chief Business Officer, Maya Mendoza-Exstrom.

The award stands as a reminder of the unshakeable stewardship that is forever engrained in the Reign’s DNA. Whether it’s building an inclusive community of their own or supporting local organizations, Seattle Reign FC is committed to making a difference in the community.
