Reign FC secures ninth postseason appearance in club history and seventh under Head Coach Laura Harvey; Seattle travels to face 2026 NWSL Shield winners Gotham FC in the quarterfinals on Sunday, November 8 (9:30 a.m. PT / ABC, ESPN Deportes)
Seattle Reign FC has clinched a spot in the 2026 NWSL Playoffs, presented by Google Pixel, securing its ninth postseason appearance in club history and second consecutive playoff berth. Seattle claimed the eighth and final playoff spot following Sunday's 1-0 victory over the Orlando Pride at Lumen Field, continuing its pursuit of the club's first NWSL Championship.
The postseason berth builds on Seattle's return to the playoffs in 2025, when the club qualified with 17 players on its roster who had never competed in the NWSL postseason. After falling 2-0 on the road to the Orlando Pride in last year's quarterfinals, Reign FC enters the 2026 playoffs with greater postseason experience across its roster, including 18 contracted players who have appeared in at least one playoff match.
Under Head Coach Laura Harvey, Seattle has now qualified for the NWSL Playoffs seven times, advancing to three NWSL Championships (2014, 2015, 2023). Harvey has also guided the club to three NWSL Shields (2014, 2015, 2022), establishing Reign FC as one of the league's most consistent postseason contenders.
Reign FC now turns its attention to the quarterfinals, traveling to face 2026 NWSL Shield winners Gotham FC on Sunday, November 8 at Sports Illustrated Stadium (9:30 a.m. PT / ABC, ESPN Deportes).
