Player Loan Update - Week of 10/18

OL Reign currently has three players out on loan. Miranda Nild, signed by OL Reign in March 2021 after training with the team as a non-roster invitee and signing a short-term contract by with the club in September 2020, is currently on loan to Kristianstads DFF of the Swedish Damallsvenskan through December 31, 2021.

Nicole Momiki is currently on loan to Swedish Damallsvenskan side Linköpings FC through December 31, 2021. OL Reign previously loaned Momiki to Linköpings FC prior to the 2020 Fall Series, but her time in Sweden was cut short when she suffered a season-ending injury just 18 minutes into her first match with the team.

Cosette Morché is currently on loan with French D1 Arkema side Grand Paris Seine Ouest 92 Issy through June 30, 2022. Morché joined OL Reign in December 2020 from Eskilstuna United DFF in the Swedish Damallsvenskan and did not make an appearance for OL Reign in the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup or in the 2021 NWSL regular season.

All three teams with OL Reign players on loan have been making a huge impact with their teams abroad recently.

Cosette Morché has played three games with GPSO 92 Issy since the last loan update on September 14. She started and played 90 minutes in all three matches. Most recently, Morché was an essential part of Issy‘s 1-1 draw on the road against Guingamp. Morché weathered 24 shots from Guingamp, 11 of which were directed on target. She was all over the goal, making diving saves in the air and on the ground. Most notably, she saved a 94th minute penalty kick taken by Alison Péniguel. Morché read the kick and dove to her left and grabbed the ball securely to secure a point on the road for her team. GPSO 92 Issy is now in 11th place in the D1 Arkema standings, with a 1-4-1 record and negative six goal differential. The team is preparing for their next match against third place Paris FC on Saturday, October 30.

Miranda Nild has played three straight games for Kristianstads DFF, totaling 223 minutes played in that time. She scored one goal in the sixth minute for Kristianstads in their 2-2 draw against KIF Örebro DFF on October 2. She scored another goal in the following game on October 10 in their 2-0 win against Eskilstuna. She also played on October 16 against Djurgården for 61 minutes but did not find the back of the net. Kristianstads DFF have just two more games left in the season and are in third place in the Damallsvenskan standings with 32 points and a goal differential of seven.

Nicole Momiki has been a regular in the Linköpings FC lineup and recently scored her first goal and earned her first assist for the team in Linköpings’ 5-0 win over Växjö. Momiki scored the first goal of the match in the 30th minute then assisted Linköpings’ fourth goal of the match in the 42nd minute. There are two matches left in the season for Linköpings FC. They are currently in 8th place in the Damallsvenskan standings with 25 points and goal differential of two.
