“I’m really excited to connect with our world class staff and players,” said Perera. He continued, “Simply put: my goal for the organization is success. Success is not a one-dimensional concept. We want to win games and championships, but it is also about strategic planning to ensure long term viability. I want to work towards effectively preparing our organization for sustained success, not only in player and staff retention and recruitment, but also by elevating operational standards across the board.”

Perera comes to OL Reign after serving as Executive Director at Washington Youth Soccer, where he was responsible for creating programming for Washington’s soccer communities, as well as progressing the development of youth soccer in Washington and supporting state membership.

“Washington Youth Soccer celebrates this opportunity not only for Nick, but also for what it means by way of encouragement for our young female athletes who dream of one day playing professionally, especially during this year of recognition of 50 years of women’s soccer in Washington,” said Felipe Mendez, President of Washington Youth Soccer.
