OL Reign Announces Activations Surrounding Friday’s Forever Reign: A Celebration of Megan Rapinoe Match
Leading up to OL Reign’s final regular season home match of the year, Forever Reign: A Celebration of Megan Rapinoe, the club today announced an exciting lineup of events to celebrate the illustrious career of global icon Megan Rapinoe.
The highly anticipated match has already drawn a record-breaking attendance for the Reign with over 28,150 tickets sold, closing in on the all-time NWSL attendance record.
HOW TO ATTEND
OL Reign kicks off against the Washington Spirit in this historic match at 5:00 p.m. PT. Fans can secure their tickets to the match HERE, though remaining tickets are moving quickly.
Gates at Lumen Field will open at 3:30 p.m. PT – 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early, as the club is expecting a record-breaking crowd in addition to a packed lineup of pre-match events and activations around the stadium.
The fun-filled lineup of events for matchday begins with an exclusive giveaway of Forever Rapinoe sunglasses, courtesy of BECU for the first 3,000 fans at the door.
THIS WEEK
To kick off the excitement, King County Council will proclaim this “Megan Rapinoe Week” to honor the local legend.
The day before the match, there will be a #MegansHairitage party hosted at Rough & Tumble Pub to celebrate the legend. The event will feature iconic pink wigs and provide fans with an opportunity to show their love for a true sports icon on camera, as well as the chance to win a signed Rapinoe jersey.
On the day of the match, Forever Rapinoe flags will fly high on the Seattle ferries and Lumen Field along with other buildings across downtown will light up Seattle “Pinoe Pink” later in the evening.
PRE-MATCH
Before the match, the club will honor Rapinoe's mother and twin sister, Denise and Rachael Rapinoe, as our OL Reign and Starbucks Legends of the match, as well as welcome Rapinoe’s family to the field for a fan tunnel.
Leading up to kickoff, there will be a special ceremony on the pitch, honoring Rapinoe. As the match kicks off, an auction of one-of-a-kind Megan Rapinoe items will begin benefitting Lambert House. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on unique Megan Rapinoe themed items through the end of the match.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, fans have access to many activations and activities to choose from as they celebrate the day:
Live Music – Zechariah & Jevon and Reign City Riot will be performing in the Muckleshoot Heritage Plaza
Food Trucks – There will be four food trucks in the Muckleshoot Heritage Plaza for fans to enjoy – Buddah Bruddah, Seoul Bowl, Dough Joy and Mexicuban
Photo Opportunities – Rapinoe #15 Photo Op in the NW cove on main concourse, TOGETHXR Photo Station in the NW marshalling area and Photo Booth with commemorative photo strips in the NE Concourse
Rapinoe Jersey Board – Giant Megan Rapinoe jersey for fans to sign
Family Activities – Face painters, hairspray stations, poster making and lawn games
POST-MATCH
Finally, fans will want to stick around until the end of the match to see Rapinoe honored in a special ceremony including her friends and family, teammates, the Royal Guard and more.
