OL Reign Acquire Sinclaire Miramontez; Transfer Momiki to Linköpings FC

OL Reign today announced that it has acquired Sinclaire Miramontez off waivers. Miramontez was waived by Racing Louisville on December 8. In addition, OL Reign has agreed to the permanent transfer of Nicole Momiki to Linköpings FC in the Swedish Damallsvenskan.

23-year-old defender Sinclaire Miramontez played 352 minutes during the 2021 NWSL season for Racing Louisville. She appeared in 14 games and started in two. She made 21 clearances, six interceptions and two tackles for Louisville. Miramontez, a versatile young player, featured in Louisville’s backline and midfield.

Prior to playing with Louisville, Miramontez was drafted 27th overall in the 2020 NWSL Draft by the North Carolina Courage. She played four years at University of Nebraska, where she earned multiple All-Big Ten Conference honors.

Momiki, who went on loan to Linköpings FC in July 2021, made three substitute appearances for OL Reign during the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup, but did not feature in any regular season matches. After joining the Swedish side in July, Momiki started and played in 10 matches for the team and notched a goal and an assist.

The forward initially signed with OL Reign in May 2020, ahead of the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup and appeared in all five of OL Reign’s matches. The Japanese international previously went on loan to Linköpings ahead of the 2020 NWSL Fall Series, but only played 18 minutes before suffering a season-ending injury.
