OL Reign Acquire Draft Pick in Trade with Houston

OL Reign today announced that it has acquired Houston’s natural 3rd round pick in the 2023 NWSL Draft. In return, the Reign sent goalkeeper Ella Dederick to the Dash.

Dederick joined OL Reign’s preseason training as a non-roster invitee in February 2021 and signed a first team contract in March 2021. During her season with the Reign, she played in three games for 111 total minutes. She made four saves and earned a goals against average of 0.81.

“Ella was an important part of our squad last season and did everything we asked of her,” said OL Reign head coach Laura Harvey. “The opportunity at Houston looks like a great chance for Ella to progress in her career. We will miss having Ella with the team but wish her all the best with the Dash.”
