Key Info Ahead of the Match:

1. LAST MEETING – The Reign and Bay FC last met in September in a regular season match at Lumen Field. The Reign fell 1-0, with a Bay FC penalty kick determining the result. Bay forward Asisat Oshoala was fouled in the box to earn the penalty kick and stepped up to take it herself in the 27th minute, making no mistake as she converted from the spot. Seattle fought back in the second half, taking eight total shots and enjoying 65% of possession, but the team was unable to find an equalizer to salvage a point from the match.

2. SCOUTING BAY FC – Bay FC currently sits in 9th place in the NWSL standings, level on points with the Reign. The team has earned two wins, two losses and two draws, most recently earning a 1-0 win over the North Carolina Courage.

Bay FC scored the game-winning goal in the 33rd minute of the match, when midfielder Joelle Anderson found fellow midfielder Kiki Pickett at the top of the penalty box. On the half-volley, Pickett unleashed a Goal of the Week winning strike to give Bay FC the lead.

3. DEPTH – The Reign are well equipped for another road trip, as the depth of the roster has been on clear display through the start of the 2025 season. Head Coach Laura Harvey has fielded a unique lineup through all five matches of the season, with a core group of five players that have started each match. The varying lineups impressively feature an array of players, ranging from rookies like forward Maddie Dahlien and Emily Mason, to league veterans like Lauren Barnes and Lynn Biyendolo.

The Reign are also one of two teams this season to have five goalscorers through five matches. Three of those players, Emeri Adames, Jordyn Bugg and Dahlien, are age 20 or under.

4. MOMENTUM – The Reign enter this match fresh off a massive win over bitter rivals, Portland Thorns FC. Defeating the visitors 1-0 in front of a home crowd last Friday, Seattle will look to carry that momentum into this road match against Bay FC. After scoring in the fourth minute, from the foot of Dahlien, the Reign held onto the lead for the remainder of the match, never faltering under pressure.

The Reign’s defensive performance was highlighted by the efforts of goalkeeper Claudia Dickey, who made four saves to preserve the Reign’s win. Dickey is currently ranked fourth overall in the league with 17 total saves through the season.
