Key Points Ahead of the Match:

1. LAST MEETING – The last time OL Reign and Angel City met was May 27, which resulted in a 4-1 win for the Reign and included a career-best three assists from forward Megan Rapinoe and a brace from forward Veronica Latsko, who leads the head-to-head series in goals. All-time, OL Reign has never recorded a loss to Angel City FC.

“I think just remembering what our identity is on how we could create opportunities and getting the right people in the right places to be able to do that. I think that's going to be vital for us,” said OL Reign head coach Laura Harvey.

“I think what we believe with our roster is that we have a ton of depth. So, who can do it at certain moments at certain times against certain opponents and the fact that we have everybody to pick from now just means that we have some tough decisions to make on who's the right choice at that right time in the right moment. I think that trying to work on those finer details has been a big part of what we've been preparing for this week."

2. SCOUTING ANGEL CITY FC – Most recently, Angel City FC took on Racing Louisville FC on the road in Kentucky and earned a 1-1 draw. Though the LA based team was on the front foot in the first half, they did not manage to find the back of the net. A scoreless first half carried the teams into halftime, before the deadlock was finally broken in the 67th minute of the match. However, Louisville leveled the score in the 79th minute, forcing the team to split the points.

“I think they've got a little bit more bite about them. I think they are solid. I don't know if it's a massive difference from before, but yeah, I think they're obviously on a good run as well, which can give everybody confidence. So, we know it's going to be a difficult game," said Harvey.

3. FULL SQUAD – For the first time this season, OL Reign has the full squad available for selection in a match, with no players out with injury, questionable or on international duty. With all of their players back, the Reign are focused on getting back into the win column and finding momentum as the team enters the final stretch of the season.

“Everybody is available. It is the first time this season that I can say we have everybody fit and available," said Harvey.

One of OL Reign’s returning players is defender Alana Cook, who was away at the World Cup with the United States Women’s National Team. For Cook, it was easy to return to the squad after being away for an extended period of time.

“I think it was kind of similar to last year when we were coming back in from the Concacaf qualifying. This team's awesome. I think everyone did as much as they could to make sure that we were welcomed back in with open arms and integrated back in really quickly. Anything that they had worked on when we were away, they made sure to get us on the same page and get us on board with. So, definitely no struggle coming back into the environment. I think, like I said, we're all just really excited to be back here and kind of be back with our home base, be back with our home group."
