Five Reason to Attend Seattle Reign FC vs. Orlando Pride on Saturday

Seattle Reign FC returns to Lumen Field after a two-game road stretch to take on the Orlando Pride in the club’s Kids Day Match (4:30 p.m. PT / ION / TICKETS). Here are five reasons to attend the match:

1. Youth Day

The Reign are set to celebrate the first of two Youth Day matches on Saturday. Young fans will have the opportunity to see their idols in action and celebrate a day of family fun. There will be two Kids Zones at the stadium with activities like coloring and friendship bracelet making, providing plenty of entertainment on and off the pitch for children and their families.

2. Internationals Return to Market

Reign FC had 11 players on international duty this month, including six youth national team players and five senior national team players. Gaining valuable experience with their respective national teams, defender Lily Woodham, who is on loan to Crystal Palace, midfielders Jess Fishlock and Angharad James-Turner and forward Ana-Maria Crnogorčević competed in the UEFA Women’s Nations League, while midfielder Ji So-Yun played in two friendly matches with Korea Republic.

3. Young Players on the Rise

The Reign’s active roster features nine players aged 23 or younger that have made an immediate impact on the field this season. Six of the Reign’s rising stars spent the international break with various United States Youth National Teams – defenders Jordyn Bugg and Emily Mason, midfielders Ainsley McCammon and Sally Menti, and forwards Emeri Adames and Maddie Dahlien.

Defensive standout Bugg was named to the NWSL Best XI for the month of March and also earned NWSL Goal of the Week honors in Week 2 for her goal against the North Carolina Courage.

4. Home Is Where the Heart Is

Almost a month after opening the season at home against NJ/NY Gotham FC, the Reign return to Lumen Field! The Reign will need to feed off the support of home fans as they go head-to-head with the reigning NWSL Shield and Championship winners.  This marquee matchup will feature some of the biggest stars in the league, including international standouts in the midfield Ji and Angharad James-Turner for the Reign and forwards Barbra Banda and Marta up top for Orlando.

As always, fans can enjoy pre-match fun around the stadium, including live music, food trucks, bracelet making and more!

5. Milestones on the Horizon

Just three matches into the season, several Reign players have reached notable milestones, from club debuts to career appearance accomplishments. Ahead of the match, the club will be celebrating Reign original Fishlock’s 200th appearance.

In addition, there are a group of players on the precipice of milestone moments: Goalkeeper Maddie Prohaska, midfielder Sally Menti and forward Lynn Biyendolo could make their Reign FC debut in the match and forward Jordyn Huitema could tally her 50th NWSL appearance if she plays. The club is also just one point away from reaching 400 points all-time across regular season play.
