By the Numbers: Reign FC’s Cascadia Rivalry Win

Seattle Reign FC earned its first home win of the 2025 season last Friday, defeating their bitter rivals, Portland Thorns FC, 1-0 in front of over 7,600 fans at Lumen Field.

Take a closer look at the match, by the numbers:

1 – Reign FC forward Maddie Dahlien netted her first-ever professional goal to topple Portland. She found the back of the net in the 4th minute, giving the Reign an early lead.

4 – Goalkeeper Claudia Dickey made four saves in the match to keep the Thorns off the board and earn the Reign’s first shutout of the season. She also won two aerial duels in the match and made 35 passes.

5 – Five Seattle Reign FC players have scored a goal through the first five matches of the season – Emeri Adames, Jordyn Bugg, Maddie Dahlien, Jess Fishlock and Ji So-Yun. Reign FC and the Orlando Pride are the only two teams to have five players record at least one goal this season.

16 – This was the Reign’s 16th all-time win against the Thorns, bringing the head-to-head series level at 16 wins, 16 losses and 10 draws.

31 – Reign FC forward Lynn Biyendolo provided the assist on Dahlien’s game-winning goal, recording her 31st career regular-season assist. She now shares the NWSL regular season assist record with Sofia Huerta and Jess McDonald.

50 – Defender Phoebe McClernon made her 50th regular season appearance for the Reign on Friday. She has also recorded five starts this season and 40 consecutive matches played for the Reign.

400 – After earning three points in the match, Reign FC became the second club in NWSL history to earn 400 all-time points.
