Angelina Called Up to Brazil Women’s National Team for October FIFA Window
Brazil Women’s National Team head coach Pia Sundhage has named 23 players to Brazil’s roster for the two matches to be played against Australia during the October FIFA international match window. Both friendly matches are set to be played in Australia.
Brazil’s roster includes OL Reign midfielder Angelina. This is Angelina’s fourth senior call up. Most recently Angelina was called up to the team for the September FIFA international match window, where she scored her first ever goal for the squad. She also played for Brazil during the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo over the summer and for Brazil’s friendly matches in June.
The No. 7 ranked Brazil Women’s National Team plays their first of two friendly matches during the October FIFA international match window on Saturday, October 23 against No. 11 ranked Australia at CommBank Stadium in Parramatta, Australia at 1:45 a.m. PT. The teams meet again at the same venue on Tuesday, October 26 at 2:05 a.m. PT.
The two teams last met during the group stage of the 2019 Women’s World Cup in June 2019. Brazil put up two first half goals, but in the end, Australia came back to win the match 3-2.
