Four OL Reign Players Called Up to United States Women’s National Team

Four OL Reign players are in New Zealand with the United States Women’s National Team this week. Defenders Alana Cook, Sofia Huerta and newly acquired Emily Sonnett, along with midfielder Rose Lavelle are representing the team as they compete in two international friendlies against New Zealand.

Both matches will take place in New Zealand against the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup co-hosts. This marks the first time that the USWNT has played in New Zealand, despite having played against the team 19 times.  The first match is set to kick off at Sky Stadium in Wellington at 7:00 p.m. PT on Tuesday, January 17. Later in the week, on Friday, January 20, the United States will take on New Zealand a second time, with kickoff slated for 7:00 p.m. PT at Eden Park in Auckland.

These matches will both be available to watch on HBO Max. On game days, fans can head to the HBO Max homepage or the sports page to tune in to the match live and for pre-game and post-game coverage with no commercial breaks. Replays of the match will be available immediately following post-game coverage.

Additionally, Fans in the Seattle-area can watch the match at Rough & Tumble Pub in Ballard.
