Doubleheader/Lumen Field FAQs

This Sunday, August 29, OL Reign and Seattle Sounders FC have come together to put on a unique doubleheader experience at Lumen Field in Seattle. Here’s everything you need to know about attending the match: 

Gates for the event will open at 3:00 p.m., with the OL Reign vs. Portland Thorns FC game kicking off at 4:00 p.m. The Seattle Sounders and Portland Timbers game will kick off at 7:30 p.m.  Fans can enter the match at the NW Gate, NE Gate, North Gate, SW Gate, South Gate. For club guests, level 5 of Lumen Field Garage and for suite guests, level 6 of Lumen Field Garage. 

Fans may leave the stadium between matches, to do so you must scan out from the Northwest gate or Southwest gate between the times of 5:15pm and 6:45pm. 

Masks must be worn in the indoor area of the stadium, which includes the Club Level, West Field Plaza, South Main Concourse and restrooms throughout the building, regardless of vaccination status. Masks are not required at your seat but are strongly recommended.  

Please note that the Seattle Mariners will be playing a home game at T-Mobile Park, just next to Lumen Field, so plan to arrive early in order to allow ample time to find parking and enter the stadium.

  • Can I leave between the matches? 

    • Fans are able to scan out of the stadium at any time between 5:15 and 6:45 p.m. PT from the Northwest gate or Southwest gate before returning at a later time to re-enter for Sounders FC vs. Portland Timbers. 

  • Are food and drink allowed inside? 

    • No glass or metal bottles, cans or outside beverages are permitted in Lumen Field for OL Reign and Sounders FC matches. Non-metal water bottles are allowed, but the bottle must be full and factory sealed. It cannot be a container from home, and it must be filled with water (non-enhanced, flavored or carbonated). Exceptions are made for empty personal plastic sports bottles (non-metallic), baby bottles, health-related materials and unopened, soft-sided, single serve containers (such as small milk cartons, juice boxes, etc.). 

    • Fans may bring single serve food into Lumen Field on match days in clear plastic bags only, but no beverages will be allowed (see Bottles and Cans). Coolers are also prohibited on Sounders’ match days. 

  • Is proof of vaccination required?  

    • No, but masks will be required indoors per state mandate. Effective immediately, the updated policy to be enforced by Lumen Field requires all stadium guests ages five and older to wear a mask in all indoor areas of the stadium, regardless of vaccination status. 

  • Are masks required in our seats? 

    • Masks are not required while in your seat but are strongly recommended. 

  • Will there be exclusive gear available that day?  

    • Fans are strongly encouraged to arrive early ahead of the afternoon’s first match, as music performances begin at 3:00 p.m. Exclusive specialty items like event gear and scarfs are expected to move quickly. Look for OL Reign gear pop-ups retail sites: one in the North Plaza (Near the North and NW gate) and one outside of the Pro Shop on the concourse. 

  • What transportation is available to and from the stadium?  

    • From Tacoma, take the Sounder Train out of the Tacoma Dome Station or hop on the ST Express Bus. You'll get off at 4th Ave. and Jackson Street, then board at Busway and Royal Brougham Way. A full transportation guide is available here

  • Is my ticket good for both matches? 

    • The entire event is a single-ticketed experience, with one ticket providing access to both games and all related activities throughout the stadium. 

  • Can I bring in a bag? 

    Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″. Clear backpacks within the dimensions and have no more than 2 pockets. 

    • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar). 

    • Small clutch bags, that do not exceed 4.5" x 6.5", with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the stadium along with one of the clear bag options. 

    • There is an exemption for medically necessary items.  

  • Where can I find the full event schedule for the day?

  • Lumen Field is cashless and accepting card payments only. 

  • Lumen Field uses digital ticketing, so matchday is a touchless experience. Through your Ticketmaster Account Manager, you'll be able to scan your tickets right from your phone using new self-service pedestal ticket scanners upon entry to Lumen Field. All tickets are 100% digital.
