OL Reign Trade Kelcie Hedge to Houston Dash

OL Reign today announced that it has traded midfielder Kelcie Hedge to Houston Dash in return for the 21st overall pick in the 2022 NWSL Draft and $15,000 in allocation money. 

Hedge was initially selected by OL Reign in the first round of the 2020 NWSL College Draft with the ninth overall pick. The midfielder tore her ACL during a training session in July 2020 and as a result, was unable to play through the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup and Fall Series. Hedge made two appearances during the 2021 season for the Reign. She played 30 minutes in OL Reign’s 3-1 loss against Chicago and eight minutes in OL Reign’s 5-1 win over Houston. 

OL Reign now holds eight picks in the 2022 NWSL Draft, including the 8th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 21st overall selections.
