The National Women’s Soccer League has named OL Reign players Bethany Balcer, Sofia Huerta, Eugénie Le Sommer and Dzsenifer Marozsán to the NWSL Team of the Month for September. All four players helped OL Reign to go undefeated through the month of September.

Started in 2017, the Team of Month award recognizes the 11 players who have performed the best in a given month of the NWSL season. This month’s team features players from five of 10 teams in the league.

Balcer also took home Player of the Month honors for September. The forward started all three matches that OL Reign played this month, putting in 235 minutes of the playing time. She scored three goals of the five total scored by the Reign throughout the month. This is Balcer’s first time being named to Team of the Month.

Huerta was named to the Team of the Month for her work as a right back. She started and played 90 minutes in all three of OL Reign’s September matches. Huerta consistently led attacks up the sideline to get crosses into the box and earned two assists in September. This is her third time being named to Team of the Month, but her first time doing so with OL Reign.

Le Sommer started in all three of OL Reign’s September matches and played a total of 216 minutes. In that time, Le Somme scored two goals, both against Orlando. She earned her second ever NWSL brace thanks to her 28th and 32nd minute goals. Le Sommer received Player of the Week honors for her performance against Orlando. This is her first time being named to the NWSL Team of the Month.

Marozsán played in all three of OL Reign’s matches in September, starting in two of those matches. She played a total of 190 minutes, playing an essential role in OL Reign’s midfield and attack. Marozsán earned two assists this month, both against Orlando. This is her first time being named to NWSL Team of the Week.
