Player Loan Updates – Week of 9/7

Five OL Reign players out on loan saw time for their respective clubs over the past week. Here’s how their sides fared:

Machaela George started and scored six minutes in for Fortuna Hjørring in a 4-1 win against Nordsjælland on Saturday, September 12. George played the full 90 minutes, before subbing off in stoppage time following her first professional goal.

Lauren Barnes started and played 90 minutes for Kristianstads DFF, serving up the game-winning assist to teammate Hailie Mace in a 1-0 win over Eskilstuna United on Sunday, September 13. Barnes was named as the club’s Player of the Match for helping them take all three points.

Quinn started and played the full 90 minutes for Vittsjö GIK in a 2-1 win against Linköping FC on Sunday.

Darian Jenkins subbed on for Bordeaux and played the final 27 minutes in a scoreless draw against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.

Jess Fishlock started and played 74 minutes for Reading FC in a 3-1 win against Aston Villa on Sunday, before making way for teammate Rachel Rowe. Fishlock was also recently called up to the Welsh national team for the first time since suffering a season-ending knee injury last June ahead of a UEFA Women’s European Championship qualifying match against Norway.

European leagues have halted for the FIFA international window and are set to resume play after the window concludes on Tuesday, September 22.
