OL Reign Announces Roster Moves Before Restart Of Training

OL Reign today announced a series of roster moves in advance of its return to training on Monday, August 17.

Defender Alana Cook, who played 270 minutes over three starts in the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup, has completed her loan assignment with OL Reign and has returned to Paris-Saint Germain.

OL Reign declined to extend the contracts of goalkeeper Carly Nelson and forward Mariah Lee, both of whom were on short-term contracts that ended July 31.

Defender Adrienne Jordan, who joined the club in May 2020 from Birmingham City, completed her contract with OL Reign and has subsequently signed with UD Granadilla Tenerife of the Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino. Jordan’s NWSL rights for the 2021 season remain with OL Reign.

Defender Machaela George, the undrafted Santa Clara alum who earned a spot on OL Reign’s Challenge Cup roster after joining pre-season training as a non-roster invitee, has signed an agreement with the club through the 2022 season.

OL Reign has also extended the contract of midfielder Rebecca Quinn through the 2021 season, with a club option for the 2022 season. Subsequent to Quinn’s re-signing, the Canadian international was loaned to Vittsjö GIK of the Swedish Damallsvenskan through the end of 2020.
