OL Reign Unveil 2020 Primary and Secondary Kits

On Thursday, June 25, OL Reign unveiled its new primary and secondary kits for the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup in a virtual celebration with season ticket members. The new kits reflect the new brand and identity the club revealed back on March 6 following the club’s acquisition by OL Groupe in December

The club’s primary kit is a bold new direction for the club, becoming the first white primary kit in club history. The kit features a red trim and accent mark at the neck, evoking the deep connection with OL Reign’s sister club, Olympique Lyonnais.

The blue secondary kit features a ChromaFlex textured badge, also a first in club history. The dark vertical stripe between the shoulders echoes the interplay of light and dark colors from the 2014 and 2016 primary kits, while the light stripes on the back of the shoulders continues the club’s history of integrating geometric patterns into its jerseys.

The kits were met with a warm reception from OL Reign’s players.

“I love our all-white kits this year,” captain Lauren Barnes said. “The cut and color are super classy and the flash of the iconic OL red down the sides makes for an elegant look.”

OL Reign forward Nicole Momiki, who joined the club on May 22, looks forward to taking the pitch in the new color.

The shade of blue on this kit is very cool for me, because I’ve never gotten to wear this color before,” Momiki said. “I’m so excited to wear this on the field.”

Primary kits may be purchased on the OL Reign online store in women’smen’s and youth sizes and are available for preorder. Secondary kits may be purchased in women’smen’s and youth sizes and are also available for preorder online.

Zulily returns for the second year as OL Reign’s primary kit sponsor. The Seattle-based online retailer sells clothing, footwear, toys and home products to customers around the world and is a fixture in the world of e-commerce.

"We are grateful for Zulily’s continued commitment to our club during these challenging times,” said OL Reign CEO Bill Predmore. “They have been a true partner for our organization and especially supportive of our players since the inception of the partnership.”

Boeing returns for a second year as the sponsor for the back of OL Reign’s kits. The aerospace pioneer has deep historical ties to the Puget Sound region and is a major part in the region’s economy. The company is Washington’s largest private employer, with nearly half of its employees located in the state. Boeing has facilities in Renton and Everett, as well as Auburn, Frederickson, and other locations in Puget Sound.

“We are excited to continue our collaboration with Boeing this season,” said Predmore. “Boeing has for decades been one of the most important companies in our region. We are proud of the partnership and deeply appreciative of their continued support of our players, our club, and of women’s soccer.”

OL Reign will take the field in their new kits for the first time on Tuesday, June 30 at 7:00 p.m. PT when it faces Sky Blue FC to begin the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup. Fans in the United States and Canada can stream the match live on CBS All Access. Fans outside the U.S. and Canada can stream the match live on Twitch.
