Ifeoma Onumonu Signed to Supplemental Roster

Reign FC announced today that it has signed forward Ifeoma Onumonu to the club’s supplemental roster. Per league and club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Onumonu, who was signed as a National Team Replacement Player on May 14, was named the NWSL Player of the Week for Week 10 on Tuesday.

“We brought Iffy in for a chance to compete for a spot,” Reign FC head coach Vlatko Andonovski said. “She’s worked hard and has earned a spot with us for the rest of the season.”

The 25-year-old forward has made five appearances for Reign FC, including two starts. Onumonu had four key passes and helped set up the game-winning goal for Jess Fishlock in a 1-0 win over the Chicago Red Stars on June 23.
