Forward Addison Steiner Signed as NT Replacement Player
Reign FC has signed forward Addison Steiner as a National Team Replacement Player. Per league and club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The forward joins from KIF Örebro in the Swedish Damallsvenskan. Steiner helped the club win promotion to the first division, scoring 13 goals in 26 appearances in the Elitettan last season. Prior to Örebro, Steiner had played for Östersunds DFF in the Elitettan in 2017, scoring five goals in 12 appearances.
“Addison is a player who has put in good performances in Sweden,” Reign FC head coach Vlatko Andonovski said. “She’s been challenging herself overseas and I think she will be a good fit for our club.”
The Prairie Village, Kansas native finished her college career at the University of Hawaii, where she was a first team All-Big West selection and was named to the NSCAA All-West Region First Team as a senior in 2016. Steiner transferred to Hawaii from Northwestern, where she was a two-time All-Big Ten second team selection. She scored 27 goals and added 11 assists across 79 collegiate appearances.
“I feel extremely fortunate to be given the opportunity to join Reign FC and to take this next step in my soccer career,” Steiner said. “I’m looking forward to competing with, growing and learning from such high caliber players and coaching staff. I’m eager to see what Reign FC is all about.”
