Reign FC Announce Schedule for 2019 NWSL Season

The National Women’s Soccer league today unveiled the full, 24-game 2019 schedule for the league’s nine teams. Reign FC will open the 2019 season on the road at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston to take on the Dash on Sunday, April 14.

The club will then return home for its inaugural match at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Washington on Sunday, April 21 when Reign FC will host Marta, Alex Morgan and the Orlando Pride. Kickoff is set for 7pm PT.

Reign FC is currently taking deposits for Season Ticket Memberships at www.reignfc.com/tickets. Fans can also place their deposit by calling the Reign FC ticket office at (855) REIGN-FC.

Reign FC will play a total of 12 home and 12 away games over the seven-month regular season. The club will match up against each of its eight opponents three times during the season, including two home matches against the rival Portland Thorns.

Former Reign FC forward Nahomi Kawasumi will return to the Northwest with Sky Blue FC twice in 2019, and the defending World Champion North Carolina Courage will visit Tacoma in a special Memorial Day matchup on Monday, May 27. Reign FC will also host its annual Pride Match on June 15 against the Washington Spirit.

With the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup taking place in France from June to July, the 2019 NWSL schedule is backloaded to feature as many games as possible after the World Cup concludes.

Reign FC will host the Chicago Red Stars on July 28 in a special homecoming match for the World Cup players. The Red Stars feature five members of the U.S. Women’s National Team likely headed to France, including Julie Ertz, Alyssa Naeher, Tierna Davidson, Casey Short, and Danielle Colaprico.

Reign FC’s final home game, which will double as Fan Appreciation Night, comes on Sunday, September 29 against rival Portland Thorns FC.
