Legend Preview: Dana Coggon
Celebrating extraordinary female leaders in the Pacific Northwest
At each home match Seattle Reign and Starbucks will honor one woman as a Legend in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to our community and beyond. Legends are chosen from corporate, non-profit, academic, athletic, and civic organizations with a presence in Washington State. Each Legend has made a lasting impact in their respective field or discipline.
This weekend, we honor Dana Coggon, Executive Director of Pierce Conservation District. Read more about Dana below and stay tuned to read more about her full story:
This weekend, we honor Dana Coggon, Executive Director at Pierce Conservation District. The first woman to ever lead the PCD, Dana is driven by her passion for connecting people to the places they love and inspiring all to value the natural wonders Washington has to offer.
In her day-to-day work, Dana supports staff to educate and inspire community members to be innovative environmental stewards. She works hard to create a team environment of equity and inclusion to foster community-driven solutions to our most pressing local environmental challenges.
Before starting with PCD, Dana spent 15 years as the Director of the Kitsap County Noxious Weed control board, where she worked directly with landowners to establish healthy ecosystems. A dedicated steward to the environment and community, Dana is making our state a better place, each and every day.
