Legend Preview: Claudia Longo
Celebrating extraordinary female leaders in the Pacific Northwest
At each home match Seattle Reign and Starbucks will honor one woman as a Legend in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to our community and beyond. Legends are chosen from corporate, non-profit, academic, athletic, and civic organizations with a presence in Washington State. Each Legend has made a lasting impact in their respective field or discipline.
This weekend, we honor Claudia Longo, Founder and Executive Director of MS, I’mpossible. Read more about Claudia below and stay tuned to read more about her full story:
Longo is the Founder and Executive Director of MS, I’mpossible, a non-profit dedicated to providing community support and financial assistance to young adults living with MS to help them navigate the diagnosis and pursue a life full of possibilities. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 18, the lifelong athlete had to adjust to a new normal as her entire life changed. Displaying the utmost perseverance in the face of adversity, she made her return to soccer, notably assisting UW’s Apple Cup game-winner in 2022 to secure the first win for UW in Pullman since 1996.
After college, Longo poured her passion into founding MS I’mpossible and to this day, inspires many. Longo and MS I’mpossible offer hope and assistance to young adults facing challenges presented by MS in addition to cultivating a vibrant community of support. Previously partnering with the Reign and defender Shae Holmes for the 2024 Lauren Holiday Impact Award, Longo and MS I’mpossible are no strangers to the Reign community. Longo has also been honored as a Seattle Kraken Hero of the Deep nominee and Seattle Sports Star of the Year-Wayne Gittinger Award recipient.
