Emily Fortunato is the Medical Director for Seattle Reign FC, where she leads the medical team in providing care to the players. This year marks Fortunato’s ninth season in the NWSL and first with the Reign. She joins the club after spending three years at the Chicago Red Stars (2021-23) and three years with Harvey and Parkinson at the Utah Royals (2018-20). Fortunato holds a Master’s in Exercise, Fitness, and Health Promotion from George Mason University and attended George Washington University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training. She’s also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Fortunato was born on Long Island in New York and has an older sister and younger brother. When she’s not with the team, Fortunato is likely enjoying a No Doubt/Gwen Stefani concert.
