OL Reign Extends Contract of Defender Ryanne Brown, Loans Brown and Defender Alyssa Malonson to FC Nordsjælland

OL Reign has announced the extension of defender Ryanne Brown to a long-term contract through 2023 following her successful period as a National Team Replacement Player. Subsequent to her extension, Brown was loaned to FC Nordsjælland in the Danish Women’s League to further her opportunity to develop. Per league and club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed

Brown, originally the 21st overall pick in the 2022 NWSL Draft by OL Reign, re-signed with the club on July 1 as a National Team Replacement Player and made her first appearance for the Reign in the club’s previous match against the Kansas City Current on July 17.

Additionally, defender Alyssa Malonson will join Brown in Denmark on loan to FC Nordsjælland. Malonson joined OL Reign from the North Carolina Courage on January 12 and did not make an appearance for the Reign. The 23-year-old was originally drafted by the Courage in the 2021 NWSL Draft with the 20th overall pick but opted to stay at Auburn University to play out her fifth year of eligibility in 2021.
