Taylor’s England Advance to World Cup Semifinals

England booked its second straight trip to the semifinals at the Women’s World Cup, defeating Norway 3-0 on Thursday. Reign FC’s Jodie Taylor did not play in the win.

The Lionesses jumped on top in the third minute, when Jill Scott turned in a short cross from Lucy Bronze.

England doubled their advantage in the 40th minute, when Ellen White tapped in a cross from Nikita Parris to score her fifth goal of the tournament.

Bronze added a goal of her own in the 57th minute to extend the lead, converting a free kick service from Beth Mead from the edge of the box.

England will face the winner of the United States and France on Tuesday, July 2 at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Décines-Charpieu at 12:00 p.m. PT.
